When you use Access Identity to manage user authentication for PeopleXD Evo, several PeopleXD Security features are no longer required. Access Identity manages authentication centrally, which removes the need for these legacy features.

Full details of PeopleXD Security changes

The following sections provide detailed information about each deprecated feature.

IP restrictions for the login page

You can apply IP restrictions to PeopleXD modules only, not to the Access Identity login page. Users can sign in to Access Identity, but if you've configured IP restrictions for a specific module, that module won't be available to the user.

Self-registration widget

The Access Evo invitation process replaces the self-registration widget. When you invite users through Access Identity, they receive automated email invitations to set up their accounts.

For more information, see our Access Evo invitation process guidance.

Security questions

Security questions, previously used in the self‑registration process, no longer apply. Access Identity uses email verification instead.

Integrity test

The integrity test showed the user’s account creation and setup details. You can now view all relevant information directly on the Manage Account screen in Access Identity.

Manage Portal Account screen

The following options in the Manage Portal Account screen are no longer relevant.

Tab

Details

General

The General tab controlled account status (such as locking or deactivating users) and authentication type. Access Identity now manages these settings centrally.

Header

The following header items relate to authentication now managed by Access Identity:

  • Two Factor.

  • Authentication.

  • Password Changed.

  • Password Expiration.

  • Login Status.

  • Actions menu.

CorePortal password policy

Access Identity manages password policies centrally. The CorePortal password policy applied only to accounts signing in directly to PeopleXD and is no longer required.
