Configure product access and security settings

Restrict access to PeopleXD products, manage external content, and view user sessions.

The Security dashboard provides additional settings to control product availability, IP address restrictions, content security policies, and user session management.


Configure product access restrictions

The Product Access Restriction Options widget allows you to control access to products in PeopleXD. You can disable products globally or restrict access to specific IP addresses.

⚠️Important: Do not update this widget without first contacting PeopleXD.

Enable or disable a product

To enable or disable a product for all users, follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Security.

  2. Under the Product Access Restriction Options widget, locate the product.

  3. To enable the product, turn on the Available toggle.

  4. To disable the product, turn off the Available toggle.

Changes apply to all users immediately.

Restrict a product by IP address

To restrict a product to specific IP addresses, follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Security.

  2. Click the System Overview tab.

  3. On the Product Access Restriction Options widget, beside the product, click VIEW.

  4. Click Add then enter the IP Address or IP Address Range.

  5. Click OK.

πŸ“ŒNote: Only users with a specified IP address can access the product; all other users will be denied access.

Remove an IP address restriction

To remove an IP address restriction, follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Security.

  2. Click System Overview.

  3. On the Product Access Restriction Options widget, beside the product, click VIEW.

  4. Locate the IP address then click Remove.


Manage content security policy

By default, content hosted outside of PeopleXD cannot be viewed or embedded. This includes custom video pages used in features such as Social Onboarding.

To display external content, you need to add the source to the Content Security Policy widget.

To add a content source, follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Security.

  2. Click XD Content Security Policy then click EDIT.

  3. Add the required source URL to the appropriate key:

    • media-src: For media content such as videos.

    • img-src: For images.

    • frame-src: For embedded frames.

  4. To save changes, click Save.

πŸ“ŒNote: Contact your security or technical team for guidance on the required sources for your content. If a source is not listed, the content will be blocked.


View user sessions

The User Sessions widget displays information about Back Office user sessions, including login history, connection details, and locked sessions.

To view user sessions:

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Security.

  2. Click the User Sessions tab. The widget displays all sessions.

You can use this widget to do the following:

  • Identify redundant accounts.

  • Identify accounts where passwords are about to expire.

  • Identify locked sessions.

  • Kill sessions that are locking the database.

Lock all user accounts

To lock all back office user accounts, follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Security.

  2. Click the User Sessions widget then click Actions.

  3. Click Lock All Accounts.

Unlock all user accounts

To unlock all back office user accounts,follow the steps below.

  1. From the dashboard menu, search for and select Security.

  2. Click the User Sessions widget then click Actions.

  3. Click Unlock All Accounts.
