πŸ“ŒNote: The following information is only related to organisations using PeopleXD in an Access Evo tab.

PeopleXD users created as part of your initial PeopleXD project solution can access your non-production PeopleXD environment through Access Evo.

The UAT environment is accessed by clicking your company name/logo in the top-bar of Access Evo, which reveals the organisation drop-down menu.

There are 4 steps to this process, which are:

  1. Create your PeopleXD employee: Typically, your employee record already exists in the UAT system. If that is not the case, you can complete this step in PeopleXD.

  2. Create authorised non-production users: This simply highlights specific users as suitable for accessing your UAT environment. This step is completed in PeopleXD.

  3. Assign PeopleXD Product Role in Access Evo: Ensure the Workspace user has the PeopleXD product role. This step is completed in your Access Evo UAT environment.

  4. Log-in to the non-production PeopleXD environment: Finally, log in to your UAT environment. This step is completed in your Access Evo UAT environment.

Create authorised non-production users

To set authorised users for non-production environment access, as a PeopleXD admin, follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to the Evo Configuration widget on the Security dashboard.

  2. Click Authorised Non-Production Users.

πŸ€“Tip: In this widget, you define the authorised users that should have access to non-production environments.

  3. Click Add User, then select a user from the Person list.

  4. Click OK. The user is now synced to your non-production Access Evo site.

πŸ“ŒNote: A clone from your production environment to your UAT doesn't overwrite the list of authorised users.

Assign XD Product Role on Access Evo

To grant the newly authorised non-production user access to the PeopleXD product, follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to your non-production Access Evo site, then click Members.

  2. Search for the user, click the three-dot menu, then click Manage Roles.

  3. Select User from the PeopleXD drop-down, then click Save Changes.

  4. Send an Access Evo invite to the user in PeopleXD.

Log into the non-production PeopleXD environment

After the user has accepted the Access Evo invite, they can log into the non-production environment. To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. Log into Access Evo as an authorised non-production user.

  2. Expand the my organisations menu, located beside your Access Evo organisation name.

  3. Authorised users now display the option to select a number of Access Evo sites, production (P) or non-production (U or C).

  4. Select the relevant environment.

    πŸ€“Tip: Non-production environments display a UAT label.
