Complete compensation allocation tasks

Review compensation allocation decisions for each employee then accept or adjust the recommendations before submitting them for manager review.

Managers are responsible for completing the compensation allocation process for the employees assigned to them. Additionally, if you have a manager as a direct report, once they have submitted their tasks you will need to review them.

During this process, you’ll review personalised guidelines made for each employee based on the combination of their company's pay philosophy and each employee's data. You can then accept or adjust the recommendations before submitting them for manager review.

To complete compensation allocation tasks watch the video or follow the steps below:

  1. Open the dashboard menu in PeopleXD and select Pay Planner.

  2. Click Open task to access the check list for the relevant pay cycle task.

  3. Click Ready to start.

  4. Review your employee compensation pay decisions.

  5. Click Complete task to submit for manager review.

The adjust pay for my assigned employees screen contains the following fields to assist you review your employee compensation pay decisions:

Filter

Use the dropdown options to select an attribute to group the table by.

Budget

The allocated amount dynamically updates as you make inline changes in the table. When there are employees belonging to multiple segments in a task, a budget segment picker will be displayed.

Analyze decisions

Run an analysis on the current state of compensation decisions, view your breakdown of Eligibility and Submit from Review.

Editing

Double-click a table value to edit. Only numeric input is accepted, except deviations, which allow “-” for negative values.

3-Dot Menu

Access additional details about an employee, such as Compensation breakdown, Justifications and Employee details.

Columns

Use Columns to select the columns to be displayed in the table.

Complete

Mark employees as complete to track your review progress. This is optional, only visible to you, and doesn’t affect submission.

Justification

Where adjustments have been made to an employee, add a note to justify your deviation from the guidance. Once added the symbol will update to show this has been completed.


Review manager compensation decisions

If you have a manager as a direct report once they have submitted their tasks you need to review their decisions. Additionally, before they submit you can monitor their progress, ensure they’re on track and support them in completing tasks if needed.

To do this, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the dashboard menu in PeopleXD and select Pay Planner.

  2. Click Open task to access the check list.

  3. Click Task submitted.

  4. The Review pay for everyone in my org screen, review managers' tasks.

  5. Click Submit for review to submit for admin review.

The review pay for everyone in my org screen gives leaders access to three components to review managers’ tasks:

Pay decisions

Review manager decisions for consistency, fairness, and equity, and complete the manager task if needed, following the same process as above.

Key highlights

Review decisions that are highlighted as possible deviations or outliers from what the pay philosophy suggests and see budget breakdowns by task.

Submission status

Monitor the status and progression of each task. Clicking View Task to make adjustments or complete manager tasks, if required.
