Your PeopleXD Evo UAT environment gives you a safe space to test processes and validate changes before implementing them in your live system. Each PeopleXD instance syncs with a unique Access Evo organisation, giving you separate production and non-production environments with their own URLs.
πNote: PeopleXD Evo UAT gives you access to the People XD solution only. Other products you have from the Access Group aren't available in the UAT environment, but Access Evo features like Copilot remain available for testing.
Switch between production and UAT environments
If you have access to both environments, you only need to sign in once through Access Identity to access both organisations. You can do this in two ways:
Go directly to your UAT URL, and you'll automatically sign in.
Or
Click your organisation name at the top of the screen.
From the drop-down menu, select your UAT organisation.
Manage UAT authorised users
You need to control who can access your PeopleXD Evo UAT organisation by designating them as UAT authorised users. This setting is managed in PeopleXD Security and ensures only approved team members can access the testing environment.
πNote: External users can also be synced as UAT authorised users using the same approach.
To set up a UAT authorised user in PeopleXD Security, grant them user access and send them an invitation. To do this, follow the steps below.
Log in to your PeopleXD production environment.
From the dashboard menu, search for and select Evo Configuration.
Next to Authorised Users, click Open then click Add User.
From the list, select the employee then click OK.
Check the user's Evo Member sync status displays as Synced.
Log in to your PeopleXD UAT environment.
Click the Members icon then search for the user.
Click the three-dot menu then select Manage Roles.
From the PeopleXD drop-down menu, select User.
Click Save Changes then on their Members record, click the three-dot menu.
Select Send the invite.
The user can complete their account setup and first-time sign in using the link in the invitation email.
Set up standalone test users
You can create standalone users in your UAT environment for testing employee process flows without designating them as UAT authorised users.
Follow the same process you use in your production environment to create a new employee in People Management. These test users don't need to exist in your production organisation and don't require UAT authorised user status.
