When absences are entered directly into the system (one which don't come from approve leave requests) they are held on a different table from leave requests.

On Insight, you would use 'Person Absence Details(Time)' to report on Absneces, This will include approved leave requests and Absences entered directly into the system. You would use 'Person Leave Requests(Time)' to report on Leave Requests, this can include Unprocessed, Approved, Rejected and Cancelled Requests

It's possible to add columns from both Person Absence Details(Time) and Person Leave Requests(Time) to the same report but you may end up with duplicate entries.
You would have one entry for the approved leave request and another entry for the absence from that approved leave request.
