Mapping pay types in People Analytics is essential for categorising pay events into specific buckets, such as base pay, variable pay e.t.c to support the TCOW model. The TCOW represents the complete cost associated with the workforce contributing to the organisation, encompassing all labour costs and expenses related to supporting and maintaining this group of individuals.

To ensure accurate mapping, only pay codes that incur costs for the employer should be used. To map pay codes in PeopleXD to the set of standarised pay types in People Analytics, complete the following process:

  1. Generate a report listing of pay codes from Insight in PXD.

  2. Review the definitions of each standard pay type in People Analytics to determine appropriate mappings for your pay codes.

  3. Examine examples of pay codes/analysis codes and how they can be mapped to People Analytics standards.
