To ensure your data displays appropriately in People Analytics, you need to map certain fields in PeopleXD. These fields are divided into different field types which are:

  • Exit type

  • Start type

  • Pay type

  • Ethnicity type

Exit type

You need to map all PeopleXD exit reasons to the following exit types in People Analytics. These fields are:

  • Resignation

  • Retirement

  • Termination

  • Reduction in Force

  • Disability Exit

  • Maternity Exit

If you don't map a leaving reason, it will be categorised as Uncategorised.

Start type

You need to map all PeopleXD reason codes used for new hires/contracts e.t.c to the following start types in People Analytics. These fields are:

  • Expansion i.e employees who started as a result of the organisation's expansion

  • Replacement i.e. employees who started as a result of a replacement.

  • External Other i.e. employees who started as an external hire for reasons other than expansions and replacements.

  • M&A Start i.e. employees who started as a result of mergers and acquisitions.

If you don't map a start type, it will, by default, be mapped to External Other.

Pay types

You need to map all PeopleXD pay code reference data to the following pay types in People Analytics. These fields are:

  • Agency Cost

  • Base Pay

  • Bonus

  • Commissions

  • Contingent Workforce Costs

  • Other Variable Pay

  • Other Workforce Events

  • Overtime Pay

  • Pay for Time Not Worked

  • Premium Pay

  • Employer Insurance and Taxes

  • Health Benefits

  • Long Term Incentive

  • Other Supplemental Pay

  • Recognition Overhead

  • Recognition Rewards

  • Referral Cost

  • Relocation Cost

  • Workforce Allocations

This is not mapped by default in PeopleXD, check mapping for pay types.

Ethnicity types

You need to map all PeopleXD ethnicity reference data to the following ethnicity types in People Analytics. These fields are:

  • Asian or Asian British

  • Black, African, Caribbean or Black British

  • Mixed or Multiple Ethnic Groups

  • Other Ethnic Group

  • Unknown

  • White

If you don't map an ethnicity type, it will, by default, be mapped to Unknown.

Map the ethnicity types to unlock specific content and metrics in People Analytics, like minority breakdowns. You can still create analytics using your PeopleXD ethnicity reference data with the ethnicity attribute in People Analytics.
